dear reader,
hi there its been what, two weeks now? I am sorry. I have longed to write to you but it has been such a hectic time. I stole a few moments to share with you a lesson I picked up.
it is titled: the truth about The cross.
I am sure that you may have known this all along, but just as a quick reminder I will share it again. What are your thoughts about the cross. What do you think was the symbolism behind it? Some say, and rightly so, that Jesus took on the wrath of God, however few understand that it was we who did all that to Jesus. Jesus was not crucified for me he was crucified by me.
the shouting that he be crucified was you and I saying, Lord I don't care for your love, the crown of thorns was you and I mocking his place as Lord and King of our lives- every time you belittle the time spent with him, the striking across his face is a daring trampling underfoot of his gracious love, the flogged back is the manipulation we put him to every time we say with our hearts how we need him and soon as he meets our needs we ditch him, the piercing on his hands is the spitting onto his hands after he held us when we cried. My dear friend, it is you and I who participated in the crucifixion of our Lord. That is why, we lift our hands bow our heads, cry out to him and plead to wrap our heads around his mercy and love. That though we slay him he saved us by that very act, and holds it not against us. What a great mystery?
let us turn from our sins and ask him to forgive us and yearn to live for him. Don't you know everytime you sin you crucify Jesus all over again? Hebrews 6:6. Dear reader please take this to heart.
yours
miguubeautiful.
